Galaksija, A FPGA IMPLEMENTATION /

The authors of this clone is Dushan Gruyich and Dragan Toroman. Scheme of PC "uGalaksija" is presented in figure (scheme cliccabile). The following is a list of parts used.

TECHNICAL SPECIFICATIONS

  • Power: mini USB connector, only 5 V DCline used
  • CPU: Main CPU T80 (Z80) FPGACore powering Galaksija clone; Auxiliary CPU picoBlaze FPGACore powering the menu system.
  • Clock: FPGA Clock 50 MHz; T80 Core 3,125 MHz (user adjustable from on - screnn menu X1, X2, X4, X8).
  • ROM: Internal 10 KB ROM containing original ROM "A" and "B" (4 KB each) and 2 KB character ROM.
  • RAM: Internal 8 KB of RAM T80. Additional 3072 bits locations for Color - map T80; 1024 bits picoBlaze.
  • Flash: Internal 256 KB allowing 32 full memory snapshots to be saved / loaded from on - screen menu.
  • Keyboard: PS / 2 connector Standard PC keyboard.
  • Video: VGA connector Standard VGA monitors supported 640 X 480 / 60 Hz display mode.
  • Audio: 3,5 mm stereo jack tape input / output port; L channel - input; R channel - output.
  • I / O: Z80 I / O port implemented (16 bit wide).
